Job Summary

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the functionality and safety of our clients’ facilities. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in facility upkeep, strong mechanical aptitude, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.  


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform PM’s regularly and as required.  
  • Update the maintenance management software by entering assists, work orders, and generating PM and work order status reports.  
  • Contact equipment manufactures technical services for troubleshooting guidance, as needed. Disassemble and diagnose mechanical failures and perform the necessary repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Read, interpret, and understand facility blueprints (e.g. laying out equipment and production lines).  
  • Apply general mechanical knowledge / abilities in basic electrical meters with minimal supervision.
  • Apply general plumbing skills to maintain equipment and facilities (e.g. repairing sinks, drain lines, toilets, and urinals).  
  • Apply general HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facilities (e.g. repairing unit heaters, radiant tube heaters, furnaces, air conditioning systems, make up air units, industrial ovens, and exhaust fans).  
  • Assist outside contractors with repair and installing machinery.  
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with employees.
  • Maintains a neat and clean working area.
  • Must adhere to all PPE requirements to perform the job safely, this includes but is not limited to, eye, hand, feet, and hearing impaired.  

Qualifications & Skills  
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Two years of technical training in industrial maintenance or building repair and maintenance, or four years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance associate.
  • Able to safely operate forklifts and scissor lifts.  
  • Inventory and control stock of supplies
  • Familiar with power tools
  • General fabrication skills including welding (Mig/Tig), plasma cutting, oxygen acetylene torch cutting, and ban saw cutting.  
  • Basic computer skills  
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand facility blueprints.
  • General mechanical knowledge and abilities in basic electrical meters.  
  • Ability to disassemble and diagnose mechanical failures and perform the necessary repairs with minimal supervision.  
  • Ability to assist in machinery installations.
  • Ability to maintain most equipment with minimal supervision.
  • General plumbing skills
  • General HVAC skills
  • Knowledgeable in hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Physically able to work standing, bending, crouching, twisting, raise hands above head, push and pull heavy items as needed, lift heavy objects.
