We are seeking a skilled Electronic Technician with a strong mechanical and/or electrical background to support instrumentation and monitoring systems used on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. This role offers hands-on fieldwork, technical problem-solving, and a defined path for career advancement into leadership positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission instrumentation systems including sensors, data loggers, and monitoring equipment on active job sites
- Perform electrical and mechanical assembly, wiring, and system integration
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair instrumentation and related equipment in the field
- Calibrate and test systems to ensure accurate data collection and performance
- Support communication systems including cellular and telemetry-based data transmission
- Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and site layouts
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure successful project execution
- Travel to job sites throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area and surrounding regions
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, or related technical work
- Construction experience with technical exposure will also be considered
- Basic knowledge of wiring, circuits, and/or mechanical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in field environments
- Ability to work outdoors and on active construction sites
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sensors, controls, or instrumentation systems
- Familiarity with low-voltage wiring or data communication systems
- Exposure to construction, civil engineering, or surveying environments
- Ability to read blueprints or site plans
- OSHA certification
