Director of Field Operations – Chandler, AZ
Pay: $160K-$200K per year DOE

Overview: 

A leading structural steel fabrication and erection firm is seeking a Director of Field Operations to oversee multiple construction projects and field teams. This leadership role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills to ensure all field operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee field operations, scheduling, and manpower across multiple job sites.
  • Maintain project budgets and timelines, ensuring all deliverables meet quality and safety standards.
  • Develop and review crane lift plans and coordinate all rigging and heavy equipment logistics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with General Contractors, Project Managers, and internal teams.
  • Review project scopes, drawings, and contracts to ensure alignment with field execution.
  • Partner with Safety, Estimating, and Shop Management to ensure job readiness and coordination.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in the structural or miscellaneous steel industry.
  • Proven background in field supervision, project management, or operations leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of AISC, PCI, and AWS D1.1/D1.5 codes and standards.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Tekla, Smartsheet, Sage/Timberline, and PlanGrid.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines.
