Job Title: Crane Operator/Loader 2nd Shift
Location: Charlotte, NC
Salary: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: 2nd Shift | 1:00 pm-9:00 pm | Monday-Friday | OT available as needed
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp to Hire


Job Summary

As a Crane Operator/Loader, you will be responsible for handling materials related to the shipping and receiving of inventory and customer orders. Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is required. Candidates must be able to train on the 1st shift.

Job Responsibilities
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Understand the products handled, including color coding and customer specifications; read and interpret all measuring devices
  • Unload and receive inbound stock shipments and load outbound shipments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
  • Safely load trucks, including proper chaining and tarping of trailers
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution environment
  • Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is required
  • High School diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and operational procedures
  • Steel toe shoes are required. Additional PPE provided
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn new skills and train others
  • Physical Examination: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility
  • Demonstrated reliable work history
  • Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks
