We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant to oversee and manage cost accounting functions, inventory control, and financial reporting for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost analysis, ERP systems, and inventory management. This is a direct hire opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily, monthly, and annual inventory activities, ensuring accurate reconciliation with the general ledger.

  • Analyze production and manufacturing costs, providing detailed reports to support decision-making.

  • Prepare and verify periodic production and inventory reports, including production volumes, raw material usage, and inventory yields.

  • Conduct and manage annual physical inventory counts and audits, resolving discrepancies as needed.

  • Develop, adjust, and maintain inventory formulas in the ERP system to ensure accurate cost and usage tracking.

  • Support financial close activities, including generating manufacturing spending and overhead allocation reports.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration preferred; Associate degree with equivalent experience accepted.

  • Proven experience in cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, and ERP systems.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with acute attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.

  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
