Job Title: Commercial Concrete Estimator
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Salary: $100k+ with Bonuses
 
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Concrete Estimator to join our growing team in Fort Worth. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in estimating commercial concrete projects, with strong proficiency in Planswift estimating software. This role requires accuracy, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for commercial concrete projects.
  • Analyze blueprints, project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
  • Utilize Planswift software to perform take-offs and develop detailed cost projections.
  • Work closely with project management and operations teams to ensure estimates align with field execution.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry pricing, materials, labor rates, and subcontractor performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, budgets, and bid packages.
  • Communicate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive pricing.
 
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5+ years of commercial concrete estimating experience.
  • Proficiency with Planswift estimating software or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (higher education a plus).
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
