Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Busbar Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team on a weekend shift. This position focuses on operating specialized equipment used to fabricate copper and aluminum busbars — metal conductors used in electrical systems—according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing or machine operation experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and prepare busbar punching and bending machines by loading the correct tools, dies, and materials while ensuring proper calibration and alignment for accurate production
  • Operate punching equipment to create holes and cutouts according to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Perform precision bending operations to meet required angles, dimensions, and production standards
  • Load, position, and align busbar materials to ensure efficient and accurate machine operation
  • Inspect finished products using measuring tools such as calipers and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and quality standards
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues, material inconsistencies, and production deviations to minimize downtime
  • Monitor production flow to maintain efficiency, productivity, and quality throughout the manufacturing process
  • Maintain accurate production records, machine settings, scrap tracking, and maintenance documentation
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives focused on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving product quality
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality personnel to support production goals and operational success
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely 
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or vocational education in machining, manufacturing, or metalworking preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Previous experience operating busbar punching and bending machines or similar manufacturing equipment preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operation
  • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions and documentation in English
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Experience performing basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, etc.) and maintain accurate records
  • Basic math skills required to interpret process sheets, SOPs, tally sheets, and material usage documentation
  • Physical ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs. Intermittently  
  • Comfortable with working while standing, bending, lifting, and reaching
  • PPE requirements: eye protection, hand protection, steel toe footwear, hearing protection
Employment Type & Compensation
  • This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position  
  • Pay rate is $20.00 per hour
  • Application Window: Open until closed  
Work Schedule
  • Weekend Shift | Friday – Sunday | 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM
