Position Summary
We are seeking a driven and experienced Assistant Supervisor to support our client’s fabrication manufacturing operations in Faribault. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily fabrication activities while leading a team of production associates. This is a hands-on, people focused, and improvement driven role ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.  

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of fabrication associates to meet production, quality, and safety goals.  
  • Assign work based on skill level, workload, and production priorities  
  • Work closely with the Production Supervisor to develop weekly staffing schedules and authorize overtime as needed. 
  • Oversee daily fabrication operations to ensure products meet engineering, quality, environmental, and safety standards  
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma concepts and ensure fabrication areas are compliant with 55 standards and best practices  
  • Accurately track production data, labor utilization, and progress using EPICOR  
  • Maintain daily production records, machine usage, downtime tracking, and assist with preparing reports related to production efficiency, labor, and material usage  
  • Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate with Maintenance for repairs  
  • Manage internal inventory of materials, tools, and equipment within the fabrication area
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely; this includes but is not limited to, Eye, Hand, Feet, and Hearing protection.  
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent  
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment  
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing with proven experience coaching, training, developing employees is highly preferred  
  • Ability to safely lift weights up to 50 pounds  
  • Strong understanding of shop safety practices and production workflows  
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and MRP/ERP systems (EPICORE preferred)  
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering  
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Employment Type & Compensation
  • This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
  • Pay rate $30.00 per hour
  • Application Window: Open until filled
Work Schedule
  • Weekends | Friday – Sunday | 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM | Paid for 40 hours
