Duties & Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with electrical codes and blueprints.
• Support rough-in, layout, and trim-out phases of construction.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and system performance issues.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to keep the project on-schedule.
• Ensure all work meets local, state, and National Electrical Code requirements.
• In certain cases, completing an apprenticeship may be required.
Qualifications
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• State-issued Electrician’s License.
• Previous experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair is required.
• Use of hand and power tools to install, assemble, and troubleshoot equipment, fixtures, breakers, panels, etc.
• Working knowledge of current NEC codes, ability to interpret single line drawings and PV systems from roof to meter.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and successfully pass a motor vehicle background check. Must be at least 21 years of age.
