Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Yard Operator to move, position, and handle large materials using heavy equipment, including telehandlers, in an outdoor industrial yard. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating equipment with oversized or heavy loads and can work safely and independently in changing outdoor conditions.
We are seeking an experienced Yard Operator to move, position, and handle large materials using heavy equipment, including telehandlers, in an outdoor industrial yard. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating equipment with oversized or heavy loads and can work safely and independently in changing outdoor conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Operate telehandlers and other heavy equipment to move, lift, and position large materials.
- Load, unload, and stage materials for storage, transport, or shipment.
- Maneuver equipment safely while handling heavy or oversized loads.
- Inspect equipment before use and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain organized material staging areas and clear equipment travel paths.
- Follow all safety procedures, operating guidelines, and instructions.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience operating telehandlers and heavy equipment.
- Experience handling large, heavy, or oversized materials in an industrial yard or similar outdoor environment.
- Ability to assess loads, maintain equipment stability, and operate safely around personnel and other equipment.
- Knowledge of equipment inspections and safe material handling practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable attendance, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently.
- Must have a consistent work history.
- Must wear required PPE: Safety boots, jeans or work pants.
Schedule Work Rotation:
- 12-Hour Shifts | 6:00 am – 6:00 pm | 8-Days On | 6-Days Off
Compensation:
- $24.00 per hour
