Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Spray Technician to support quality control and research activities in a manufacturing plant environment. This position involves spraying incoming material samples in a designated spray booth, documenting results, and maintaining equipment according to established specifications and procedures. The Lab Technician works closely with laboratory, quality control, research and development, and production teams to ensure accurate, consistent, and traceable sample results.
Responsibilities:
- Spray incoming material samples in a designated spray booth according to quality control specifications and standard operating procedures.
- Record spray parameters, sample information, and test results accurately for quality control and research and development teams.
- Set up, operate, calibrate, and clean spray equipment; report equipment issues as needed.
- Handle, stage, and move materials, including pails and 55-gallon drums, using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Communicate test results, equipment concerns, and other issues to laboratory staff, operations personnel, and management.
- Follow all safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and PPE requirements, including proper respirator use.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and protect confidential company records and information
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks consistently across multiple samples.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate and maintain spray equipment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple teams.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team problem-solving.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry 50+ pounds using proper lifting techniques or assistance.
- Ability to move and position 55-gallon drums using drum dollies, hand trucks, or other material handling equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift and work in a warm manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including a respirator, gloves, protective clothing, and eye protection.
Work Environment:
This position is based on the manufacturing plant floor and includes working in a designated spray booth, where temperatures may be elevated, particularly during warmer months. The role requires regular material handling, physical activity, and adherence to established safety and respiratory protection procedures.

- Monday – Friday | 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
Compensation:
- $23.00 per hour
