Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Paralegal / Contracts Specialist to support contract administration, legal documentation, and risk management for commercial construction projects. This role will work closely with executive leadership, project teams, Accounting, and legal counsel to prepare, review, organize, and track contracts and related documentation across multiple active projects.
This is an in-person position and is not remote or hybrid.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing, reviewing, and organizing owner contracts, subcontracts, amendments, change orders, and related documents.
- Prepare draft documents and proposed revisions using approved templates and directions from legal counsel.
- Track contract status, signatures, notice requirements, and key deadlines.
- Review documents for completeness, consistency, and compliance with company procedures.
- Identify contractual questions or potential concerns for review by leadership and legal counsel.
- Coordinate with project teams, Accounting, trade partners, and outside counsel to obtain required documentation.
- Support legal counsel with research and document collection related to contracts, claims, and disputes.
- Organize project correspondence and support records for legal review.
- Maintain accurate electronic files, contract logs, and document version histories.
- Handle confidential business and legal information professionally.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, contracts specialist, or in a related role.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field and/or a paralegal certificate.
- Experience supporting construction, commercial real estate, or business contract matters preferred.
- Strong ability to review complex documents, identify inconsistencies, and flag issues for appropriate review.
- Familiarity with AIA, ConsensusDocs, owner agreements, and subcontract documents preferred.
- Strong research, writing, proofreading, and document management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple projects.
- High level of discretion when handling confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and DocuSign; construction management software experience preferred.
- Ability to work in person in the Collin County area.

Schedule:
- Monday – Friday | 8:00 am –5:00 pm
Compensation:
- $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year, based on experience
