Position Summary
NCW is seeking experienced CNC Operators for a manufacturing facility in Columbus, IN. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC equipment to produce high-precision steel components while maintaining tight tolerances and production standards. Candidates should have hands-on CNC setup experience and be comfortable making tooling and offset adjustments. Programming experience is helpful but not required.
Key Responsibilities
NCW is seeking experienced CNC Operators for a manufacturing facility in Columbus, IN. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC equipment to produce high-precision steel components while maintaining tight tolerances and production standards. Candidates should have hands-on CNC setup experience and be comfortable making tooling and offset adjustments. Programming experience is helpful but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complete setups and operate CNC milling equipment, with some CNC lathe operation.
- Set and adjust tooling and make machine offsets as needed throughout production.
- Operate 3-axis CNC equipment with FANUC controls, including Murata machines.
- Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances measured in microns.
- Inspect finished parts using appropriate precision measuring equipment to ensure specifications are met.
- Troubleshoot basic machining, tooling, and quality issues during production.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while meeting production and quality expectations.
Requirements
- Previous CNC machine operation and complete setup experience required.
- Experience with CNC mills is strongly preferred; CNC lathe experience is a plus.
- FANUC control experience preferred.
- Comfortable performing tooling changes and machine offset adjustments.
- Ability to work with tight-tolerance, high-precision machine components.
- CNC programming experience is a plus but not required.
Employment Type & Compensation
- Full-Time | Direct Hire position
- Compensation: $19.00 – $30.00 per hour, based on experience + $0.75 shift differential
- Application Period: This position will remain open until filled
Work Schedule
- 3rd Shift | Sunday – Friday | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
