Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee Higher Education construction projects in the Denton, TX area. This role is responsible for managing daily field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive commercial construction experience and the ability to effectively communicate with subcontractors, project teams, owners, and design professionals.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee Higher Education construction projects in the Denton, TX area. This role is responsible for managing daily field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive commercial construction experience and the ability to effectively communicate with subcontractors, project teams, owners, and design professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach subcontractors on safe construction practices and enforce jobsite safety standards
- Oversee quality control and ensure all subcontractor deficiencies are corrected promptly
- Maintain project schedules and establish critical path sequencing for subcontractors and vendors
- Facilitate subcontractor coordination and promote efficient workflow on site
- Work closely with the design team and owner to resolve challenges and unforeseen conditions
- Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, ASIs, and RFIs for accuracy and compliance
- Complete daily progress reports and provide weekly schedule updates
- Monitor site productivity and ensure adherence to project timelines and company standards
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of construction experience
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in commercial construction
- Experience managing Higher Education or large commercial construction projects preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detailed understanding of subcontractor coordination and construction sequencing
- Knowledge of ASIs, RFIs, and material submittals
- Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Procore
- OSHA 30 certification required
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, client-focused environment
- Willingness to travel as needed within the state
Employment Type & Compensation
- This is a Full-Time | Direct Hire position | Permanent placement with employer
- Pay rate is $75,000 – $125,000 annually, based on experience

- Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
