Position Summary
NCW is hiring an experienced Press Brake Operator to support fabrication operations at our clients, Wellford, SC service center. This role is ideal for an operator who takes pride in precision work, understands machine setups, and values working in a structured, safety-focused environment.
Operators will train on the 1st shift to learn processes, equipment, and expectations before transitioning permanently to 2nd shift.

NCW is hiring an experienced Press Brake Operator to support fabrication operations at our clients, Wellford, SC service center. This role is ideal for an operator who takes pride in precision work, understands machine setups, and values working in a structured, safety-focused environment.
Operators will train on the 1st shift to learn processes, equipment, and expectations before transitioning permanently to 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to bend and form metal components to specification
- Work with modern brake equipment used in service center and fabrication environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Select and install appropriate tooling for each job
- Perform quality checks using measurement tools to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Make machine adjustments as needed during production runs
- Follow all safety, quality, and production standards including PPE requirements
- Work closely with team members to meet production schedules
Requirements
- Hands on experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or service center environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and bend specifications
- Familiarity with measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, gauges)
- Understanding of metal forming processes and material behavior
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Dependable attendance and willingness to train on 1st shift before moving to 2nd shift
- PPE requirements; safety glasses, hand protection, safety toe shoes
Schedule & Compensation
- Employment Type: This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position
- Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday | 5:00pm-3:00am | Will train on 1st Shift
- Pay Rate: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour, based on experience

Additional Information
- The ideal candidate has experience operating precision CNC press brakes, including Amada, Trumpf, or Cincinnati equipment in the 80–300-ton range. This role is well suited for operators who are comfortable setting up smaller, precision press brakes and consistently holding tight tolerances (±.020” and tighter).
- Candidates should have experience performing full setups, selecting appropriate tooling, interpreting blueprints and bend drawings, and verifying first-piece accuracy. Operators with backgrounds in service center or fabrication environments producing high-mix work are strongly encouraged to apply.
