Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Thursday (4 x 10-hour days) | Friday as needed for weather makeup or overtime
Project Durations – working on projects for 3-5 months at a time depending on size.

Position Summary
The Solar Field Foreman is responsible for leading and coordinating field crews in the installation of commercial and utility-scale solar systems. This role ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all specifications, codes, and quality standards. The Foreman works closely with project leadership to manage daily operations, manpower, materials, and production goals across assigned job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate daily activities of field crews on solar installation projects
- Ensure strict compliance with company and customer safety policies and procedures
- Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure accurate installation
- Plan and oversee installation of electrical and specialized solar systems
- Monitor quality, productivity, and completion timelines of all work performed
- Conduct daily/weekly crew meetings covering safety, production goals, and jobsite updates
- Manage schedules, manpower, and workflow to meet project deadlines
- Coordinate material orders and ensure proper allocation of tools and equipment
- Track and maintain daily reports, including labor, safety, and production logs
- Identify and communicate performance issues or corrective actions to leadership
- Maintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, and overall efficiency
- Ensure compliance with NEC and applicable local electrical codes
- Assist with prefab planning and provide feedback for process improvements
- Complete accurate as-built documentation and manage change order/job extras
- Safeguard company equipment and report maintenance or operational issues
- Be available for travel (projects typically within 1.5 to 4.5 hours from home base, Monday–Thursday)
- Work on various roof types (flat and pitched) as required
- Remain available for occasional after-hours communication as needed
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong understanding of NEC and local electrical codes
- Proven experience leading crews in solar or electrical construction environments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Strong organizational, time management, and leadership skills
- Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic)
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with crews, management, clients, and other trades
