Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Transformer Assembler to join our team in Troy, MI. Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a dependable Transformer Assembler to join our team in Troy, MI. In this position, you will be responsible for building transformer components and assemblies by following work orders, blueprints, and winding diagrams while operating a variety or machinery and tools in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates who are mechanically inclined, enjoy hand-on work, precision measurements, and who enjoy working with materials and machinery to produce high quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and organize transformer cores per engineering specifications
- Interpret winding diagrams and specification for transformer assembly
- Operate coil winding machines to wind small inductors used in transformer units
- Count, stack, and organize steel according to blueprint requirements
- Use light machinery including large fabrication shears, strip steel shears, manual punch machines, and Porter saws
- Operate hand tools, power tools, brakes, punches, shears, saws, winding machines, and scales
- Use overhead crane to safely move completed components from the machines
- Measure materials accurately, including reading tape measure marking down to 1/16th of an inch
- Gather, stage, and handle materials safely
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements while operating equipment
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience operating light industrial machinery including forklifts, overhead cranes, and scales. Forklift operation certification preferred
- Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements and tolerances
- Ability to lift and carry weight up to 50 lbs. Unassisted
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives written in English
- Comfortable working in a physically active production role with frequent standing, lifting, bending, and reaching

- Monday-Thursday | 5:00am-3:30pm
