Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor double drum dryers and associated equipment to produce dry flake products.
- Perform routine inspections and checks on dryers and ancillary production equipment.
- Monitor control systems and manually operated equipment, making adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot production, equipment, safety, or environmental issues and report maintenance needs.
- Conduct product sampling and quality testing; accurately enter production and test data.
- Communicate production status and operational updates clearly during shift handoffs and maintain plant security during assigned shifts.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures ensuring a safe working environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
- Ability to multitask, solve problems, and manage time effectively in a production environment.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and communicate effectively with operations, maintenance, and leadership.
- Must wear safety shoes
- Physical ability to climb ladders, navigate catwalks, work at heights up to 50 feet, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety, environmental responsibility, and following standard operating procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing or industrial production environment.
- Forklift or fork truck operating experience.
- Basic computer skills for production data entry and reporting.

This role operates in an industrial manufacturing environment and requires adherence to strict safety standards. Candidates must be able to wear required personal protective equipment and participate in routine safety and health monitoring programs associated with safety-sensitive positions.
