Account Manager 
 
Our client is a leading worldwide manufacturer of LED Discrete and Network Controlled Signal Conditioning Towers and Beacon Lights, LED Work and Task Lights, and MP3 Audible Alarm products. Our products are typically used in a wide variety of Industrial, Factory Automation, Commercial and Security market applications.

We are continuing to experience record growth and we are now looking for an Account Manager to add to our team. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Account Manager to work with a great team in a fast-paced, professional environment.
 
Responsibilities
Service accounts in assigned territory. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Maintain regular contact by phone, email, and in person.
  • Maintain a good relationship with the customer.
  • Process purchase orders as necessary.
  • Follow-up on any issues – credit, returns, availability, pricing, etc. in a timely manner.
  • Present new products or expand assortment.
  • Train customer’s staff as necessary.
  • Get feedback and market information from customer and feedback to management as required.
  • Use computer systems to respond to customer inquiries, for example, stock availability, and pricing.
  • Develop new accounts in assigned territory. Accounts should not only be in the factory automation segment, but also in other segments such as vehicle, construction, and home security.
  • Communicate to management any obstacles, such as pricing, modifications, etc., and progress. Provide all necessary information so informed decisions and recommendations can be made.
  • Identify new applications and communicate with management so it can be determined whether or not it is viable or not. This requires concrete ideas which includes approximate market size, target cost, and competitive information.
  • Submit weekly and monthly reports in a timely manner as required. This includes expense, sales, prospecting, etc.
  • Manage demonstration units.
  • Maintain and safeguard demonstration kit and other company property such as laptops and mobile phones
  • Control expenses (not only expenditures, but also discounts to customers) and stay within established budgets.
  • Attend sales meetings.
  • Attend trade shows or distributor shows as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or related. Sales experience can substitute.
  • Team player who can also work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize and stay organized.
  • Solid presentation skills.
  • Solid time management skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • At least 2-3 years sales experience to commercial or industrial accounts.
  • Ability to travel 80%+.
  • Intermediate, or higher, level computer skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, E-mail, and Internet.
