Job Summary

We are searching for detail-oriented Press Brake Operators to join our team on 1st shift in Charlotte, NC. In this position, you will process quality products safely and efficiently by setting up, operating, and performing simple programming of a press brake. You will setup, operate and maintain production equipment, perform quality inspections, and assist in training others for production job responsibilities.  

Responsibilities
  • Prepare production equipment for operation by making necessary setup adjustments and assisting with equipment changeovers
  • Maintain quality standards and customer specifications by conducting first-piece and in-process inspections, completing production control charts, analyzing data, and making equipment adjustments as needed.  
  • Assist in training others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures and best practices
  • Solve production process problems, make equipment adjustments, and report production and quality data. Communicate decisions and refer questions to the supervisor as necessary.  
  • Follow policies and procedures to maintain production operations, including managing equipment and finished goods. Report needed changes
  • Ensure the proper operation of equipment by adhering to preventative maintenance policies and procedures. Report needed changes and repairs
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Contribute to the team effort by achieving related results, cooperating with team members, and accepting assignments as directed by supervisors
  • Perform other duties assigned to support production goals and team objectives

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous machine operation experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
  • Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions
  • Ability to understand and use basic math for measurements and calculations
  • Knowledge of using measuring devices
  • Ability to read and understand work orders
  • Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility  
  • Demonstrated reliable work history
  • Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks
  • Steel toe shoes are required. Additional PPE provided.  
  • Jeans or thick cotton pants, a T-shirt. No shorts or sweatpants
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.  
Schedule:
  • 1st Shift | 5:00am-1:00pm | Monday-Friday  
  • OT available including weekends
