Estimator – Commercial Construction
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Experience Required: 3–10 Years
Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 annually (DOE)

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Estimator to support commercial construction operations in the Colorado Springs area. The Estimator will work closely with pre-construction and project teams to develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for a variety of construction project types, including but not limited to:
  • Commercial new construction and renovations
  • Multifamily residential developments
  • Education and healthcare facilities
  • Tenant improvements and build-outs
  • Mixed-use developments and adaptive reuse projects 
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for commercial construction projects
  • Analyze plans, specifications, and project requirements to identify scope, risks, and cost drivers
  • Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes
  • Participate in budgeting, value engineering, and bid strategy development
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and design teams during pre-construction
  • Maintain and update historical cost data, pricing databases, and estimate documentation
  • Present and communicate estimates clearly to internal stakeholders and external clients
Required Qualifications
  • 3–10 years of estimating experience in commercial construction (not limited to federal projects)
  • Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, materials, and costs
  • Solid Excel skills and familiarity with estimating workflows
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates concurrently
Desired Skills (but not required)
  • Experience with CMGC, design-build, and competitive bid estimating
  • Understanding of local Colorado permitting, codes, and construction market conditions
  • Familiarity with multifamily, tenant improvement, or education sector estimating
