Job Summary

We are searching for a proactive and highly organized Material Coordinator to oversee material flow, support production needs, and guide a team of material handlers within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accurate and timely material movement throughout the facility.  

Key Responsibilities
  • Subject-matter expertise in material coordination within a manufacturing environment  
  • Ability to guide, organize, and support a team of material handlers  
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with production, shipping/receiving, and internal stakeholders  
  • Proficient in Epicor (ERP) and Elliott (ERP) for all material transactions and workflow updates  
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules, SOPs, job travelers, pick lists, and system-generated assignments  
  • Skilled in operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, carts)  
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to clean, restock, and maintain warehouse areas  
  • Experience participating in or leading process improvement initiatives (shipping, receiving, inventory flow)  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for fast-paced, team-oriented environments  
  • High attention to detail with strong coordination, planning, and multitasking abilities  
  • Ability to perform and apply basic mathematics for interpreting process sheets, tally sheets, and SOP manuals  
  • Knowledge of material handling best practices and workflow optimization  
  • Capacity for frequent physical activity including lifting, standing, bending, and reaching  
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements (eye, hand, foot, hearing protection)  
  • Experience with international shipping logistics, documentation, and compliance

Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required  
  • 4+ years of material handling experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge of material handling best practices  
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor, Elliott strongly preferred)  
  • Proven ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process sheets, job travelers, and production documentation  
  • Demonstrated experience in shipping, receiving, inventory flow, and cross-functional coordination  
  • Background in international shipping processes and documentation (preferred)  
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics for inventory counts and process documentation  
  • Valid certification to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire)

Schedule: Days | 7:00am–4:00pm
