Position Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager in the West Fort Worth, TX area. In this position, the Assistant Project Manager will have the ultimate responsibility of the financial and technical success of assigned projects and oversees all phases of project planning and execution. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to deliver results while meeting client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct leadership to the project team by defining roles, promoting accountability, and maintaining positive morale.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, subcontractor contracts, and permit processes to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Manage all administrative and document control requirements including RFIs, submittals, ASIs, daily reports, and meeting minutes.
- Lead buy-out, contract negotiations, and execution within 30 days of project handoff.
- Implement and monitor safety and quality programs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Chair regular client/design meetings, driving collaboration and timely decision-making.
- Maintain strong client relationships and represent NCW in future business opportunities.
- Ensure cost control, forecasting, change order management, and cash flow processes are followed to protect profitability.
- Drive closeout activities, ensuring projects are completed within 30 days of substantial completion.
- Support continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and mentoring team members.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project sequencing, scheduling, and constructability.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore.
- Experience with CMAR and/or Design-Build delivery methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
