Job Summary

NCW is seeking a CNC Machinist for a precision manufacturing partner in Beech Grove, IN. This role is focused on setup and run machinists, with the greatest current need on the mill side, though candidates with lathe experience will also be considered.

This is a critical manufacturing environment supporting high-importance customers. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and takes pride in doing the job right- not someone looking for a short stop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC Mills and/or Lathes
  • Run production parts while maintaining tight tolerances
  • Make offsets and minor adjustments as needed
  • Interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Complete work orders and inspection documentation accurately
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on assigned machines
  • Follow shop procedures, safety standards, and work instructions consistently

Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience (setup and run)
  • Experience with CNC Mills and/or Lathes
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
  • Comfortable with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and consistent attendance
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently

Nice to Have (Not Required):
  • Mastercam or CAM programming exposure
  • Experience with Doosan, Okuma, or similar machines
  • Background in aerospace, defense, automotive, or medical manufacturing
