Director of Project Management – Chandler, AZ
Pay: $160K-$200K per year DOE
Schedule: 10-Hour Shifts, Monday-Friday

Overview:

An established structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator is seeking a Director of Project Management to lead a high-performing Project Management team overseeing large-scale commercial and industrial projects. This role manages multiple projects from start to finish—ensuring on-time delivery, budget compliance, and quality excellence.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, skilled at mentoring project teams, driving operational efficiency, and maintaining strong relationships with General Contractors and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, Senior PMs, and Coordinators.
  • Manage all phases of project execution including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Review contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders for accuracy.
  • Oversee financial tracking and project forecasts.
  • Coordinate with fabrication and field operations to align schedules and deliveries.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with AISC and AWS standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews and foster staff development.

Key Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical or management education preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Estimator in the structural or miscellaneous steel industry.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Tekla PowerFab (EPM) and Procore preferred.
  • Proven ability to interpret design drawings, specifications, and shop drawings accurately.
  • Comprehensive understanding of fabrication and erection standards and procedures.
  • Familiarity with AISC, PCI, and AWS D1.1/D1.5 standards.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Sage/Timberline, Smartsheet, Docusign, and Adobe PDF Editor.

  • Salary: $160,000–$200,000 (DOE)
