Field General Superintendent – Chandler, AZ
Pay: $110K-$130K per year DOE
Schedule: 10-hour shift, Monday to Friday, Weekend Availability
Overview:
We are hiring a Field General Superintendent to oversee structural steel construction projects and field operations. This role is responsible for managing manpower, scheduling, equipment, and coordination between project management and general contractors. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive steel erection experience and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead field operations across multiple project sites, ensuring schedules and safety standards are met.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials in collaboration with project teams.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with general contractors and partners.
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure installation accuracy and scope alignment.
- Oversee fabrication schedules and delivery timelines to meet project milestones.
- Resolve field challenges promptly to maintain efficiency and job quality.
Key Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certification preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in structural or miscellaneous steel construction.
- Strong understanding of fabrication, erection, and AISC/AWS standards.
- Proven leadership in managing crews, field schedules, and multi-site operations.
- Proficiency with construction software including Tekla, Smartsheet, and PlanGrid.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
