Account Manager
Our client is a rapidly growing motion control company based in Iowa, with operations across 13 states. Our locations work together to deliver a full range of services, including manufacturing, repair, design engineering, and component distribution. Backed by a knowledgeable sales team and a large inventory, we are well-equipped to design, prototype, manufacture, and service a wide variety of motion control systems.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and driven Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical expertise, strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and a customer-centric approach to drive sales success and cultivate long-term client partnerships in the industrial field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain value-based customer relationships daily.
- Assist customers in choosing the best components, services, or systems
- Coordinate customer needs regularly with Inside Sales, Engineering, and Purchasing
- Utilize external partner-supplier resources and work closely with internal departments for technical support, to ensure seamless client experiences, and to coordinate solutions that meet the client’s needs.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, and electronics to advise clients on product selection, system integration, and customized solutions that align with their specific requirements.
- Use a CRM to manage and track sales opportunities through various stages of the sales pipeline.
- Actively participate in internal meetings to gain or share knowledge that will benefit customers.
- Expand sales by developing new markets, establishing connections with potential clients, and identifying growth opportunities for the organization.
- Day-Travel will be around 66% visiting customers. 5-10% occasional overnight travel for tradeshows and training.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics mindset.
- A Bachelor’s or technical Associate’s degree is preferred but not required. Relevant experience in industrial sales would also be a valuable asset.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with our team, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities and develop strategies to drive sales growth.
