Title: EM Inside Sales Rep
Location: Sunnyvale, CA, Vista, CA, or Chicago, IL
 
 Position Overview: The Inside Sales Representative plays a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding market share by proactively reaching out to potential customers, nurturing leads, and closing sales opportunities. This position requires strong communication skills, sales acumen, and a customer-centric approach to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  1. Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify and qualify potential customers through outbound calls, emails, and other lead generation activities. 
  2. Conduct research to understand customer needs, pain points, and purchasing behaviors. 
  3. Sales Engagement and Relationship Building: Build rapport and establish relationships with prospects to understand their business challenges and objectives. 
  4. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value proposition and benefits of our solutions. 
  5. Provide personalized solutions and recommendations to address customer needs and drive sales conversions. 
  6. Pipeline Management and Sales Funnel Optimization: Manage and prioritize sales opportunities and leads in the CRM system. 
  7. Follow up on inbound leads and inquiries promptly to maintain a healthy sales pipeline. 
  8. Track sales activities, update customer records, and provide regular reports on sales performance metrics. 
  9. Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with customers to secure sales agreements. 
  10. Overcome objections and address customer concerns to facilitate successful deal closures. 
  11. Ensure accuracy and completeness of sales orders and contracts. 
Customer Service and After-Sales Support: Provide exceptional customer service and support to existing customers to foster long-term relationships and promote customer loyalty. 
  1. Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  2. Market Intelligence and Feedback: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments. 
  3. Gather feedback from customers regarding product performance, features, and enhancements to inform product development and marketing strategies. 
Education: 
  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous. 
 
Experience: 
  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, field engineering, or related roles. 
  2. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth. 
  3. Experience in B2B sales, preferably in technical or engineering-focused industries. 
  4. Familiarity with sales methodologies and CRM systems. 
 
Technical Skills: 
  1. Strong technical aptitude with a solid understanding of engineering principles and technologies. 
  2. Proficiency in presenting technical concepts and solutions to diverse audiences. 
  3. Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into actionable technical proposals. 
  4. Familiarity with relevant software applications and tools, such as CAD software and technical documentation. 
 
Sales Skills: 
  1. Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills. 
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  3. Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
