As an Engineering Manager, you will manage all aspects of design for manufacturability for products and will provide oversight for technical challenges encountered by the front-line supervisors and will regularly interface with the Production Manager on key aspects of production and job fabrication. This position is Monday – Friday 7am-3pm. Pay is based on experience.  

Requirements  
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Bachelor's of Science with relevant manufacturing experience in precision machining and sheet metal fabrication.  
  • +3 years of management experience  
  • Six Sigma Lean background
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.  
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Must be highly proficient in SolidWorks, CADCAM, drafting and process engineering as well as using ERP systems.  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

What You’ll Do  
  • Responsible for ensuring that all customer designs are formatted to a consistent level that is compatible with the organization’s ERP and Production capabilities.  
  • Operating directly with customer engineering groups to provide feedback on machine capabilities vs design and to look for methods of simplifying production methods to reduce cost and increase production velocity.  
  • Ensure that estimating, purchasing, and quality group efforts are aligned in support of key metrics and production efforts.  
  • Provide support for sales, purchasing, QA, estimating, and production groups to ensure customer satisfaction on all orders.  
  • Analyze and specify required tooling to achieve production, cost, and delivery metrics.  
  • Review and implement process improvements for higher quality or faster throughput.    
  • Must be proficient in writing and editing sheet metal machine programming such as laser and punch software required.
