We are currently looking to add a Civil Project Engineer to our Energy team. 

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined environment, using their knowledge, skills and abilities to help our utility clients maintain, expand, or add to their infrastructure. They will be working in a team environment where they can either assist the Team Lead, mentor other team members, with possibility of leading project teams. The candidate can be located near any  office located in the states of Indiana, Ohio, or North Carolina. 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities: 
  • P.E. license Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, or South Carolina required, other licenses are a plus 
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering 8 – 10 years of relevant engineering experience. 
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with PE licensure. 
  • Experience working on the design of station sites for Energy and Utility clients Knowledge of regulations associated with the various township, county, state, and federal authorities 
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD design software (Civil 3D 2018 or recent versions) Good verbal and written communications skills required.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities will be: 
  • Perform and provide design, management and technical direction and oversight associated with civil components on infrastructure design projects completed in Energy & Utility team. 
  • Deliverables typically include Civil/Site Development and Access Road Grading Plans, Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plans, Stormwater Management Plans, Utility Relocation Plans, Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans, Permit Application Packages (earth disturbance, land development, etc.), and Construction Plans and Specifications. 
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining budget, schedule, and quality of Tasks and being up to speed on regulation changes and agency protocols and requirements. 
  • The candidate will be responsible for development of proposals, scopes of work, man-hour estimates and work plans for engineering portions of work pursuits. 
  • Domestic travel may be required. 
  • Assist as a contact for the client concerning the engineering aspects of the project. 
  • Assistance with client meetings and project proposal preparation.
