We are seeking an Inside Technical Sales Representative committed to providing sales and product support to our customers.  Representing the brand within a variety of industries with the ability to ensure products are delivered with the desired results is key to this position.  The role also entails building relationships and educating potential customers on the benefits our products offer.  Working closely with the National Sales Manager, this individual is expected to demonstrate drive, enthusiasm, and dedication for understanding and selling these products.

  • Respond to customer inquiries by providing quotes, product, and application support. 
  • Actively listen, document, and provide regular updates to the National Sales Manager related to customer feedback, account status/progress, concerns, and technical inquiries.
  • Utilize product knowledge to tailor proposals for customers according to their project and application specifications.
  • Participate in trade shows and conferences as required to represent and expand the brand.       
  • Conduct sales efforts alongside the National Sales Manager, promoting our product offerings to potential customers based on their needs; communicating the competitive benefits these products offer.   
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential customers to expand industry network and support their organizational needs through our products. 
  • Generate timely and competitive quotations and project proposals, while exhibiting strong negotiation skills.     
  • Efficiently utilize our sales tools (Acumatica and SharpSpring) to manage the dynamic sales pipeline.  This will involve an emphasis on initiating quote requests, tracking quote dispatch dates, and monitoring shipping schedules. 
  • Collaborate with the sales team and administrative support staff to ensure high customer satisfaction and enhance product knowledge.
  • Excellent relationship building and management skills to initiate new contacts, support new and existing customers.
  • Ability to identify applications where customers can enhance their business and processes by using Hokuyo products.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Skilled in communicating effectiveness and advantage of our products compared to competitors. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to share information clearly and comprehensively with both staff and customers effectively. 
  • Excellent time management skills. 
  • Proficient with or able to quickly learn product software and customer applications.
  • Proficiency with ERP and CRM software (preferably Acumatica and SharpSpring). 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products.
  • Aptitude to learn about technical products through training. 
  • Ability to travel to trade shows, conferences and customer locations as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications)
  • Prior customer service, sales experience desired but not required.
