We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to support our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for cost-saving opportunities, and experience in procurement within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, a related field, OR a combination of education and experience
- Must have 2 years of experience in purchasing and procurement, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures, as well as strategic supply chain management.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP a Plus.
