As a Painter/Prepper, you will be tasked with performing various duties including cleaning, sanding, masking, taping, aircraft and/or aircraft parts for paint. The ideal candidate will be able to mask irregular items and aircraft parts using various methods such as various masking tapes, metal specialty tape, fine line tape, and cover such items with masking paper as well as masking plastic for overspray protection. This is a 1st shift position working weekends, Friday – Monday, 10-hour shifts.
Requirements
- Must be able to sand, and prep a/c, utilizing hand sanding techniques, as well as machine sanding.
- Must have prior experience of min. of 2 years on the following tasks.
- Must be able to Mask irregular items, a/c and a/c parts using various methods to include the use of various masking types such as masking tape, metal specialty tape, and fine line tape.
- Must be able to cover such items with masking paper as well as masking plastic for overspray protection.
- Buffing and final polishing skills recommended but not required.
- Must be able to pass a respirator fit test and wear one when required.
