Our client was awarded a sub-contract for the concrete work on a parking structure attached to a major international airport. The project was 6 months from completion when they discovered an engineering miscalculation that could create structural issues long-term. Thousand of pillars across several floors and multiple structures needed to be chipped down to the rebar, with the rebar then being welded, before the pillars were patch finished. This work had to be completed quickly, in the face of huge penalties and potential liquidated damages, and the local market was tapped for available qualified help. The client had an urgent request of at least fifty carpenters and finishers on site in as little as 24 hours.
