Because of the boom in oil and gas construction along the Gulf Coast, the already-thin supply of commercial/industrial electricians in this area has almost completely been exhausted. Recently, an established Baton Rouge-based electrical contractor found itself in the position of being awarded several projects it did not have the manpower to complete.
