Apprenticeships Are Important, Let’s Get Ready for Them.

At the direction of Tyrone Harley, NCW is beginning its fourth pre-apprenticeship course on March 24, 2014. Twenty-two (22) particpants have cleared the intake and screening process and are excited to begin their careers in construction. The course, covering twelve weeks in total, will begin with 80 hours in-house, before program participants transition to full-time employment in the field and nighttime instruction for the remaining 10 weeks.

Graduates will be earning NCCER Core certificates, OSHA 10’s, MICCS cards and lift certifications. Hands on trade specific training will be in the fields of pipefitting / welding, plumbing, HVAC install or electrical – depending upon the interest of the student.
